What things remind you of winter as a child?
Here’s a few things that come to my mind:
Hardrock, Cocoa, and Joe (and all things Channel 9 during winter)
Rudolph, Frosty, and the rest of those Burl Ives narrated “animated” cartoon shows.
Rubik’s Cube, 2Xcel, Atari games, model cars…….
The Salvation Army people who would stand outside of the Ben Franklin store. (And also at Herman’s Drug Store) 
Hiding under the couch so I could bust Santa dropping off the goods, only to fall asleep and that sneaky ole Santa came and went without making me stir one bit.
Tinsel on the cat. 
Those huuumongous candy cane sticks. 
The olive green rubber boots with the yellow band around the bottom. It seemed to snow alot in the late 70′s, early 80′s.
Sledding at the back of Brown’s Chicken in the Heights…..or was it Park Forest?
It’s a Wonderful Life – I still watch that one, even in the summer.
