After the President demanded covering up the Roman Catholic abbreviation for Jesus’s name (IHS) for his speech at Georgetown University, one of the most prestigious Catholic universities in the nation, he then manipulated the context of Scripture from Sermon on the Mount.
“There is a parable at the end of the Sermon on the Mount that tells a story of two men…‘the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house…it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. “We cannot rebuild this economy on the same pile of sand,” he added. “We must build our house upon a rock. ,’” Obama said.
For those not “in the know”, Matthew 7 refers to building your lives on the Rock of Jesus, not the government.
I’m also amused that President bows to Muslim Kings and has never demanded any other religion cover up their symbols of their God. Just imagine if he tried this with Muslims.
Christians in large part, do not seem to have pride or the will to defend their God or religion, this is why it’s such an easy target for this administration to tear it down piece by piece.
While Im not decidedly Christian, and endlessly searching my own path to enlightenment, I feel compelled to defend Christianity because this country was unarguably founded upon it’s moral guardrails.
Remember, the framers desired freedom of religion, not freedom FROM religion.
Compounding his disdain for Christians, his administration in cooperation with his Dept of Homeland Security have sent a report to all State Law Enforcement agencies deeming those against abortion as “radical right wing extremists”. Also targeted are gun owners, military veterans, and those opposed to illegal immigration.
As a side note, under this adminstration, the National Security Agency has ramped up their telephone eavesdropping to tap domestic to domestic phone calls. Feeling better yet?
I’m curious if this the “change” Obama supporters voted for.
